Fall's Bold Take on Double Denim

The Double Denim trend is making a bold return for Fall 2024, with designers pushing the boundaries of this timeless fabric. Who Decided War and Marine Serre embraced intricate detailing, using all-over motifs through embroidery and wash techniques to elevate the denim aesthetic.

Children of the Discordance introduced patchework, adding depth and texture to their denim looks. For a darker, more sophisticated take, brands like Setchu, Lora Piana, and Rag & Bone showcased dark denim, some appearing almost like raw denim, lending a polished yet rugged appeal.

Meanwhile, Egonlab went for a more distressed approach, creating worn-in, lived-in textures, while Feng Chen Wang impressed with innovative seam lines that added character to the fabric, particularly after washing. Full three-piece coordinated denim outfits were a standout on the runways of Axel Arigato and Marine Serre, presenting head-to-toe denim with modern, sleek styling.

With a range of design techniques from embroidery to raw finishes, Fall 2024's double denim is anything but basic, merging innovation with a rugged, timeless appeal.
